La Lokpal Bill Gen, també conegut com a Defensor del Poble Bill de la Ciutadana, és un projecte de llei contra la corrupció elaborat i redactat pels activistes de la societat civil a l’Índia a la recerca de la designació d’un Gen Lokpal, un òrgan independent per investigar els casos de corrupció. El projecte de llei Gen Lokpal pretén dissuadir eficaçment la corrupció, compensar les queixes dels ciutadans, i protegir els denunciants. El prefix Gen (traducció: ciutadans) significa que aquestes millores inclouen aportacions de "ciutadans comuns" a través d’una consulta pública no governamental activista impulsada.

The problem in India is not Laws, it is lack of Implementation, and Improvement of Laws. You can have the Greatest piece of Legislation in the world, but if it is not implemented properly it could turn out the be the worst piece of legislation.
Consolidation and Updating of current laws is the need of the Hour.
