In the northeastern state of Manipur, India, a surge in ethnic violence has resulted in the deaths of six individuals, including one civilian, amidst ongoing clashes between the Meitei and Kuki communities. This recent outbreak of violence has led to a total of 225 deaths and displaced over 60,000 people in a state with a population of 3.2 million. The conflict escalated with attacks in the villages of Serou, Moljol, Rashidpur, and Nungchappi in Jiribam district, prompting the deployment of helicopters and the destruction of security bunkers.
