India is a secular country.... So no question to raise this question with tag line 'Minority groups', public awareness is required to popularize this theme. Instead make a vibrant civil society where all are enjoying the equal rights bestowed by Constitution of India.

if the codes are alienating in that case we must remove the concerned like the special status provided to Kashmir codes

Every one should be governed by the same law on some of important human right issues but otherwise the culture of minority group should be protected and and allowed to be promoted.

The term minority must be withdrawn from the dictionary all are human being so all are asset to the country/earth.

All citizens should not be categorized based on religion; this has been the biggest mistake of India, leading to the Partition and all. If India can forget religion, it will be far better off. And I'm not a communist, just a human being. We are all human beings on earth, and there is most probably no afterlife. So we better forget about it at least when we are here.

Let's not divide communities into minority and majority. Communities should be given the right to protect their culture but Govt. must intervene in cases that violate rights.

While minorities can follow their own codes, there are certain basic minimum rights like right to equality that just cannot be with-held on the basis of religion or custom. Rights of Muslim women being a prime example.

Every citizen should be allowed to practice his religion and preaching or propagating of religion should be banned except in the temples or prayer halls.

Protecting culture and applying the same are different altogether. Same law should be applied to all the citizens of the country

Freedom should be there but not at the cost of causing communal disharmony or hurt to national unity
