Since india is a country that majors in its soft power I believe the military spending should only increase upto the point where we arent taken lightly on geopolitical military front

 @9H4VTF2Bharatiya Janataanswered…5mos5MO

current percentage should be spend like not more then 2.5 % but over all focus should be increasing over economy so from 71 billion dollar defense budget increase to like 1 trillion dollar or something

Depends on the intension of our neighbouring countries and our own relationship with them. If we have hostile neighbours, we surely should increase our spending

 @9CR4TG9Bharatiya Janataanswered…9mos9MO

Should aim to produce ammunition domestically rather than spending on buying it from outside.

 @9CQ4CXPIndependentanswered…9mos9MO

Increase, but focus on modernization and R&D instead of pensions and salaries

 @9CQ3MM5Bharatiya Janataanswered…9mos9MO

Increase but source it to companies who are following 'make in India'

 @9CPZLYLBharatiya Janataanswered…9mos9MO

The government should increase the military spending but first it should ensure proper management of resources at hand with a well laid out plan otherwise its just a gateway to corruption

 @9CPYS4Yanswered…9mos9MO

I have read that most part of defence budget goes towards pensions and other indirect costs. That should be reduced such that more part of the budget actually goes towards defence diversification, modifications etc.
