I believe that marginalization is intersectional. Instead of reservation on the basis of one specific dimension, there needs to be more sensitive, nuanced criteria, taking into consideration many layers of marginalization. And based on that, an individual can certainly be offered reservation. Caste, Class, Gender, Religion, Physical and Mental health situations etc. need to be considered, and not just an on-paper caste of a person.

I think every member from the marginalised community, deserves additional benefits. The reservation could be availed based on one's overall social profiling in terms of marginalization.

For the castes who are poor and underprivileged, not all of the lower castes. Keep reservation until India develops

 @9HFZG53Bharatiya Janataanswered…4mos4MO

More colleges should be opened, so as not to disillusion the higher castes. The higher castes should not have to lose their privileges, just so the lower castes can have their privileges.

No, give incentives for private sector individuals doing capacity building work in backward communities

 @9CR563YAam Aadmianswered…9mos9MO

Should be limited for few years and caste, reservation should be systematically removed

 @9CQYQS8Marxist Communistanswered…9mos9MO

Yes, but I'll prefer the private sector to shrink rather, and public sector grow (i.e, democratise)

 @9CQTR63Aam Aadmifrom New York answered…9mos9MO

No, but there should be private effort to create a culture of anti-casteism

They should be required to declare the % of each category and encourage diversity

 @9CQH6WJBharatiya Janataanswered…9mos9MO

It should be allowed in educational institutions only aided fully or partial out of the govt. funds

 @9CQFVZTIndependentanswered…9mos9MO

As long as the hiring company doesn't discriminate based on caste, I'm fine with no reservations

 @9CQFV6SBharatiya Janataanswered…9mos9MO

Reservation should be available only for economically weaker section (not more than 10%)

 @9CQDLYVIndian National Congressfrom Ontario answered…9mos9MO

Encourage companies in the private sector to bring in more diversity in terms of caste, gender and religion but no strict quotas

 @9CQCY77Bharatiya Janataanswered…9mos9MO

Based on income would be better. Caste privilege should be allotted only to actual deserving people

 @9CQ9J39Bharatiya Janataanswered…9mos9MO

Why we need reservation in private sector if one has brain knowledge then compete else suck a lemon!

 @9CQ7RY4Bharatiya Janataanswered…9mos9MO

Caste based reservation should be there but also they should focus specially on economically weaker in that lot.

 @9CQ7GFNBharatiya Janataanswered…9mos9MO

No, but any atrocity imposed based on caste should be as it is. Untouchability should be treated as an offence.

Yes I support caste based reservation in private sector, but without compromising merit of the candidate.

 @9CQ63SBIndependentanswered…9mos9MO

Private sector should work towards more Diversity and Inclusion. Caste based reservation is one of the way to do it. There shouldn't be compulsion to do that but the private sector businesses on Government contracts should implement caste based reservation.

 @9CQ4LNRIndian National Congressanswered…9mos9MO

Corporations themselves reserving would be better than Govt. intervention

 @9CQ4J82Bahujan Samajanswered…9mos9MO

Caste Based Reservations On The Basis Of The Local City, State Population and Not on National Average.

 @9CQ452JCommunistanswered…9mos9MO

Caste reservation should not be given if individual is not first or second generation and has already acquired wealth and status in society, it leads to people abusing the reservation system.
