Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says Moscow “categorically condemn terrorism in all its manifestations, but we are also categorically against countries fighting terrorism using methods that flagrantly violate international humanitarian law”, according to the Tass news agency.
Lavrov added that Russia was concerned about violence in the occupied West Bank, where “dozens of people have been killed”.
On Tuesday, Palestinian medics and local media said Israeli forces had killed at least eight people during raids in the occupied West Bank, bringing the total death toll since October 7 to nearly 200 Palestinians.
