Cities have grown a lot in population but housing is not able to cope up with which is increasing the cost of living. Cities are the economic power of a nation and provide its residents with lots of opportunities and services. High cost of living disincentivise people to move into cities which is a bad thing at an individual level and at national level.

Although the real estate market is extremely overvalued in most states, this is the only way to build more on the same space of land so less homeless population is present in the cities.
