Should the government abolish the inheritance tax?

A person earns for whole life while paying income tax and cess taxes on his savings, inheritance is what is left after paying everything. Taxing that too would reduce their basic right to provide for their family. No sane economist will allow the level of taxation that inheritance tax creates.
