Yes but it should be a choice.There should be seperate identification and also see if the female is under family pressure and other threats to do so.

 @9PSPX4GMarxist Communistanswered…6mos6MO

It's upto them. Also, it depends onto the fact that, if they were indoctrinated by religious zealots, when they were young.

 @9HQRYGDIndependentanswered…1yr1Y

No, because people can abuse this right. My family business was robbed by some people who were using niqab to seal their identity. This is a threat to us.

 @9HGZTW9Bharatiya Janataanswered…1yr1Y

Only Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists were there in Ancient India and only they should be given more rights, privilege's and freedom today.

No but same thing should be applied on other religions too for eg: heavy kadas and tekas. One should accept his religion by heart and it doesn't require public display of the same. One uniform code should be applied and followed by all.

 @9CQ4QXVanswered…1yr1Y

Examination halls, polling stations should be able to enforce the same dress code for all people equally.

 @8YM6MTWanswered…3yrs3Y

At the will of the women but it is not to be forced (by anyone irrespective of family or religious leader)

 @8YJXFFKanswered…3yrs3Y

If face veil is banned , every symbol of private symbols should be banned for everyone from every community and a uniform dress code should be applied to eveyone.

 @8XLWCGBanswered…3yrs3Y

Depends, if a lady agress and is comfortable ,then i don't see any problem...but forcing or moral policing on this should be illegal and considered offensive

If they’re wearing the niqab out of their own volition then absolutely

 @8W2MRM7answered…3yrs3Y

If it's the female's choice to wear, then ok but I am pretty sure most females don't want to wear it.

 @8VWC87LBharatiya Janataanswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, as long they are willingly doing it and not forced by their culture.

 @8V2VFC3answered…3yrs3Y

No, any patriarchal act, unethical or anti-women tradition under the garb of freedom of religion should be criticized, scrutinized and banned after adequate conversation with the religious group under question.

If they r cooperating with security agency as & when required then be allowed

 @8TDYS9HMarxist Communistanswered…3yrs3Y

I mean,its their choice,if they want to wear it,fine,if they don't want to wear it,also fine

 @8TDVLFMBharatiya Janataanswered…3yrs3Y

Its personal choice. But we should not encourage women for this. But if women dont want then they can deny wearing this. Any such ban is extreme case.

 @8TBL5FHBharatiya Janataanswered…4yrs4Y

It depends what kind f public places , there should be some restrocted places for face coverings

 @8T9J2NManswered…4yrs4Y

If they want to wear a niqab or any other religious symbol it's fine but it's better that it be discouraged

 @8SZZHRRBharatiya Janataanswered…4yrs4Y

They shouldn't be forced to wear it. If they're wearing because they want to then the government is no one to interfere.

 @8SSVGJKAam Aadmianswered…4yrs4Y

Yes but while ensuring identification by female officers there needs to be regulation ensured to stop families from forcing it on women.

 @shivammurari13Independentanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes while obviously also allowing female staff members to privately verify identity as well as ensuring education to eradicate Stockholm Syndrome and forced veiling by family

It should not be cultural compulsion but should be upto the will of women

 @8SSTJDNanswered…4yrs4Y

We are no one to decide what a person should wear. Talking about civic ceremonies there is a dress code for such ceremonies and cultural dresses are a part of that dress code.

 @8SJFBBVanswered…4yrs4Y

 @8S4DL54answered…4yrs4Y

 @8QMTR8Kanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes. But only if it's the women's independant choice to wear a veil. The government must not restrict someone from wearing what they like but there must be a civil society campaign that encourages women to come out of patriarchal outdated practices.

 @8QM3R53answered…4yrs4Y

Other than woman wearing the veil no one else should have a say in it. It is upto her as to what she wants to do about it

 @8Q9G6CQBharatiya Janataanswered…4yrs4Y

Not a niqab, but if they want to uphold their religion so much then only smtg like a hijab

 @8Q9G6CQBharatiya Janataanswered…4yrs4Y

Not a niqab, but if they want to uphold their religion so much then only smtg like a burqa..

 @8PX5G6Panswered…4yrs4Y

It should be taken care that the clothing is not forced on women and it should not also happen that the woman is kind of conditioned to feel guilt if she chooses not to wear

 @9CR9VF2Communistanswered…1yr1Y

Every individual has autonomy over what they do. Though Parda is regressive towards women, unless women themselves stand against it, they should be allowed to wear whatever they want.

 @9CR83PVanswered…1yr1Y

According to the dress code mentioned .If no dress code then they should be well maintained to prevent the ceremony

Woman should have individual freedom to wear whatever they want. The point of "allowing" doesn't arise at all.

 @9CQNPGFIndependentanswered…1yr1Y

absolutely not, it's an abhorrent anti-woman thing which should be abolished, it's high time

It should depend on them. No one should be able to force them to do it. But if they are doing it on their own will, no once should be against it too.

 @9CQK26Xanswered…1yr1Y

No one should be 'allowed' for anything. they're free to pursue their own will.

 @9CQJW9XIndependentanswered…1yr1Y

it should be the women's choice, if the person wants to wear it, she can or vice versa

 @9CQHSTHanswered…1yr1Y

Although,In India most of the women wear Niqāb because they are forced to wear it. Although people who force women should wear this, should be punished but those who are comfortable are allowed to do so.

 @9CQF4CYanswered…1yr1Y

Yes , but their identity must be verified by the wives of respective officials .

 @9CQBQWZanswered…1yr1Y

They can wear it if they wish to. It is their own choice but their identity must be privately verified by a female staff member.

 @9CQ9G9RBharatiya Janataanswered…1yr1Y

If there is a uniform then no, if no uniform theu can wear whatever they like.

 @9CQ8PPPBharatiya Janataanswered…1yr1Y

Nothing that hides ones identity in a public space. Goes against trust based societies.

 @9CQ88YVIndependentanswered…1yr1Y

Yes, Its their choice and no one should be forced to wear or not to wear

 @9CQ76K8answered…1yr1Y

A woman should wear whatever she chooses to wear, and there shouldn't be any state mandated regulations on what one may wear.

 @9CQ68VRanswered…1yr1Y

 @9CQ55RKCommunistanswered…1yr1Y

If women want to put on a veil, they're free to do so. If they don't want to cover up their face, that's cool too. In essence, give women the agency to do what they wish to do with their bodies.

 @9CQ3TGCAam Aadmianswered…1yr1Y

Yes but it should be her choice, she should not be forced to wear hijab

 @9CQ3DMFMarxist Communistanswered…1yr1Y

I prefer women wear nothing at all in civil ceremonies. They should be in birthday suit as nature intended.

 @9CQ2GTDanswered…1yr1Y

They can do whatever they want but no one should force ot on them. And also Government should educate people to know the evils of their religions.

Yes.Women should not be stopped from wearing Niqab/face veil. But, since these choices are rooted in modesty culture , they should not be endorsed.

 @9CPZLYLBharatiya Janataanswered…1yr1Y

Everybody should be allowed to wear whatever they want in a public or a governmental place or institution but private organisation can enforce their codes of dressing that needs to followed by the members/beneficiaries of that organisation.

In weddings or Muslim functions it's their choice in schools and other things where a dress code exists no.
