Again, this is a stupid question. There is no single language that should be called "our country's language. Yes, the immigrants should demonstrate basic understanding in one of the 22 official languages of India.

 @9CQ5PVFBiju Janata Dalanswered…10mos10MO

Citizenship should be determined by the amount of time they’ve stayed here and the contributions they make, economically and otherwise. And it shouldn’t take longer than 5 years for immigrants to get citizenship status

 @9CQ4JH5Independentanswered…10mos10MO

citizenship test doesn't make sense, instead their backgrounds should be checked . Immigrnts from other countries can't mug up history and other facts for passing a citizenship test, it can also promote bribes in these tests

 @8Q72KLKBharatiya Janataanswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but it should only be taken after an immigrant has lived in the country for more than 5-10 years.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

Why do you think some people oppose or support the idea of a citizenship test for immigrants, and where do you stand on this spectrum?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

In your view, does requiring immigrants to pass a citizenship test contribute to or detract from the cultural diversity of a country?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

How would it feel to have your right to stay in a country depend on passing a test, and how might this affect your sense of belonging?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

Should the ability to participate in political processes require passing a test when many citizens born in the country might not pass it themselves?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

Imagine you're designing a citizenship test for your country; what one question would you definitely include and why?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

Do you believe there are better ways to welcome newcomers than a citizenship test; if so, what might they be?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

What challenges might a person face while studying for a citizenship test in a language that is not their first?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

Can someone be a good citizen without knowing historical dates and facts; what characteristics do you think define good citizenship?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

If you moved to a new country, what aspects of its culture and history would you find most important to learn, and why?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

How might your life change if you had to pass a comprehensive test about your country to graduate from high school?

 @558YLXVanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but only if/when they are pursuing US citizenship or permanent residency

 @8532KYJ from Georgia answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and all American citizens should have to pass the exam as well upon turning 18

 @92JXK3J from New York answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but provide those who wish to become citizens a course to learn about us, ensure that they have the best chance of passing a test, and ensure that they are willing to be a patriot.

 @93CS3TH from Texas answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but provide classes on the information and make the same material and test part of high school education.

 @92YHQCV from California answered…2yrs2Y

Yes. However, it should only cover very basic and simple topics, but if they want to, then they can be allowed to take a test that tests more than just a basic level of understanding

 @4KMQBNCanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and naturalized citizens should also be required to pass a citizenship test at the age of majority

 @9334YP3answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and it should also cover the Bible, church history, the law, and their rights.

 @8ZLFQJW from Oklahoma answered…2yrs2Y

The citizenship test should be made less difficult, most citizens can’t pass it, let alone immigrants.

 @85QWNPG from Colorado answered…2yrs2Y

No, it is absurd to expect them to know all of our history when many American citizens do not, instead focus on skills that could be provided to various sectors via mental acuity tests in their native language. The most important thing is merely the background checks, nothing more is truly relevant to their longterm success here.

No, I am in general in favor of open borders. Also, citizenship tests very often turn out to contain bizarre and unnecessary questions.

 @77JF5QJ from Texas answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and only immigrants from Europe and other Whites should be admitted

 @8YB8NY3 from Nevada answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but it should only cover very basic and simple topics that our own citizens would be able to pass.

 @lucasnator4 from Illinois answered…2yrs2Y

Yes but only on a test that citizens have already proven they can pass.

 @88NZKDZ from New York answered…2yrs2Y

 @4VSB86Panswered…2yrs2Y

Yes and all citizens should pass such a test as a requirement to vote.

 @8XNT9ZQ from Florida answered…2yrs2Y

 @ThomasJ1331 from Georgia answered…2yrs2Y

 @8X8TPKQ from Pennsylvania answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but it should extend to all citizens. It should cover basic, simple topics, but also provide resources to prepare for the test, etc.
