I think that social media sites should be regulated, but I don't trust the government to determine what is fake or real news. There should be some independent obudsman responsible for determining that.

This might lead to a social media which is biased towards the govt. Rather people should be educated through awareness campaigns how to decrease internet usage, the negative effects of biased, fake news and propaganda on society, and how to use the social media and at the same time mitigate its negative effects.
