Prisoners cannot vote while in jail in India but can vote when they are released (even if they are convicted of a felony.)

If if someone has done a mild crime by mistake like for temporal pleasure someone steals from someone and the government is rehabilitating the person for his mistake and he is also guilty for what he did. For others doing violent crimes no voting rights to them at all.
