While in power, the party has attempted to implement its policies through land reforms, education reforms, and efforts to improve healthcare and social welfare schemes, with varying degrees of success and criticism.<br /><br />The CPI(M) also places a strong emphasis on internationalism, standing in solidarity with global struggles against imperialism, colonialism, and neo-colonialism.
